Workshop Report, July 2026: What's on the Bench Right Now

Shipyards announce launches, but rarely workshop reports. We think that's a shame, because the most interesting stuff usually happens between launches. So, at month's end, here's an overview: what got finished, what's about to be, and what's currently on the slipway. No dates, on principle — we ship when it's good, and until then we report honestly on where things stand.

Finished and in the water

Adjet now sits in the official harbor

The news of the month: the free version of Adjet has been listed in the official WordPress directory since today, under the name Hafenstudios Ads. Eight weeks of review, thirteen rounds of back-and-forth, a better plugin at the end of it — the whole story, including switch-over notes for existing users, is in its own post.

Wimpel has launched

As of this week, Wimpel is available, our multilingual plugin: translations as normal posts, hreflang with no manual labor, cost estimates before a translation run instead of surprises after. And because we use our own tools before we recommend them: our own blog now speaks seven languages — the principles behind it are the same.

Just before launch

Leadlotse: submission imminent

Leadlotse, our form and lead manager, is set to become the fleet's second plugin in the official directory. The free version is built, fully translated into German and English, and passes the official Plugin Check without a single flag. Details on the package and the honest Free/Pro split are in the launch post.

Heckgalerie: fully built, already running

Our gallery plugin is this month's special case: fully developed, 150 automated tests, and already running in production on two websites — only the product page and pricing are still missing. On the slipway

Kurato is getting a Navigator

Kurato, our tool for well-maintained email communication, is getting its biggest expansion yet with the Navigator: multi-step email sequences that react to recipient signals, with AI assistance for drafting. The Navigator is mid-build; more once it's proven itself in daily use.

Partnerjet: affiliate marketing without a third-party platform

New on the drawing board is Partnerjet, an affiliate program plugin for WordPress: recruit partners, calculate commissions, manage payouts — inside your own system instead of on a third-party platform with ongoing fees. Wellenbrecher: the spam protection

Wellenbrecher, our GDPR-friendly spam protection, is next in planning as the big build project. The direction is clear: block comment and form spam without sending visitor data to third parties.

Hafen theme: heading for the theme directory

Our Hafen theme is also getting ready for WordPress.org — the submission package is put together, and the review against theme standards is underway. The theme already powers several websites, from company sites to association websites.

The five posts published today — this one included — are the first to go live simultaneously in German, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. How that came about and what we learned along the way is in the post about our multilingual blog.
