Der Unterschied liegt an zwei Stellen. Erstens ist die Einwilligung eingebaut: Consent-Gating hält Anzeigencode zurück, bis zugestimmt wurde, und ein Cookie-Banner mit Google Consent Mode v2 liegt bei – seit dieser für Google-Dienste verpflichtend ist, spart das ein zweites Plugin. Zweitens bleibt die Statistik zu Hause: Impressionen, Klicks und CTR werden lokal und ohne Speicherung von IP-Adressen erfasst, in der kostenlosen Version.
Alle externen Anbindungen – AdSense, Newsletter-Dienste, KI-Textvorschläge – laufen mit eigenem Zugangsschlüssel und sind standardmäßig aus. Aus der Adminoberfläche geht keine Verbindung zum Hersteller.

Adjet places banner ads, AdSense units and any ad code automatically or by shortcode, rotates them by weight and targets them by device, post type and user role. Consent gating and a cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2 are included. Impressions, clicks and CTR stay local, without storing IP addresses.
Adjet manages ad slots in WordPress: automatic placement before or after the content, after paragraph N or after the first image, plus shortcode, widget and Gutenberg block. Weighted rotation, device and post-type targeting, campaign scheduling and lazy loading are part of the free version.
Two things set it apart. First, consent is built in: consent gating holds ad code back until permission is given, and a cookie banner with Google Consent Mode v2 ships with the plugin — now that Consent Mode is mandatory for Google services, that saves a second plugin. Second, the statistics stay at home: impressions, clicks and CTR are recorded locally and without storing IP addresses, in the free version.
Every external connection — AdSense, newsletter services, AI copy suggestions — runs on your own key and is off by default. The admin interface never calls home.
What you can back up – and what you can't
On 1 August 2026 we checked the four biggest ad plugins at the source: plugin API, pricing pages, privacy policies and the source code of each free version. Only what we found there is written down here.

None of the four most-used ad plugins offers free statistics without storing IP addresses: two keep reporting behind a paywall, two store visitor IPs — one of them in plain text.
