What is actually in the WordPress plugin directory, counted in full.
The census retrieves every listed plugin, holds it against all slugs ever issued and computes the aggregates in the open. No sample, no ranking, no names.
Every issue ships its raw data, along with the method, the reference point and a checksum. Anyone who wants to recompute the numbers can do so with the files on this page.

What issue 02 will measure
- Unchanged
- Thresholds of 365, 730 and 1,095 days; ranges from the same formula; convention for the top bucket; no names, no ranking.
- Newly measured
- Which slugs vanished from the directory between the two reference dates and how many of them the API reports as closed, with a reason. Shares and reasons only, no names.
- What is not coming
- No ranking, no names, no statement about security or vulnerabilities.
- Collection window
- Not fixed yet. It will be announced here once it is, before the data is collected, not after.
The data is published under CC BY 4.0. The citation form with its checksum sits at the end of every issue. Questions, corrections and objections to moin@hafenstudios.com; a substantiated correction leads to a new version with an entry in the version history.
